Profile

I

Iacopo’s experience as an adoptive parent has influenced his way of seeing and solving problems in his professional activity. The direct relationship with the world and with the bureaucratic, judicial and non-judicial hurdles that mark international adoptions at all levels, have led Iacopo to view the role of lawyers and the relationship with their clients’ expectations in a different light.

Iacopo, who has been collaborating with RFA Law Firm since the establishment of the professional association, remains in any case a self-employed professional. Iacopo has extensive experience in litigation both before ordinary Courts and administrative Courts, though acknowledges the value of out-of-Court dispute resolution. For this reason, Iacopo has long been resorting to alternative dispute resolution methods, informing his clients of the opportunities these offer and, when the conditions and timing are right, making the most of his skills to reach the desired result out of Court, via shared solutions which, albeit ensuring the utmost satisfaction of his clients’ needs, do not compromise the network of relations, including future relations, between the parties involved.

Even when Court litigation is inevitable, Iacopo deems it essential to find ways, through an open dialogue with his clients designed to reveal their true interests, to reduce both the time and costs of a legal action.

Fields of expertise

Iacopo represents his clients before ordinary and administrative Courts and advises them specifically in the field of commercial law, company law, public and private industrial law, tourism legislation and state/regional regulations on live entertainment. His goal is to guide his clients’ preferred solutions in accordance with the relevant statutory and regulatory provisions. This is especially the case of government-owned private entities, public bodies and the non-profit world, with specific regard to their dealings with local and central public administrations.

Iacopo has gained special expertise and experience in the field of national, regional and Community tourism legislation and the rules on live entertainment, both as an advisor of entities and bodies engaged in these fields and as a professional entrusted directly with the direction and coordination of these structures.

Since 2003 Iacopo has been a civil and commercial Mediator, entered in the corresponding registry held by the Ministry of Justice, and has been involved in many conciliation and mediation proceedings, whether compulsory or voluntary, and in mediations required by the Courts. He permanently performs this role at the Chamber of Commerce of Florence, where he is also a registered Arbitrator and Mediator specializing in consumption, and at the Chamber of Commerce of Lucca.

He has seated on the Board of Directors of Fondazione Sistema Toscana since 2015. From May 2017 he has been appointed by the Region of Tuscany as President of the same Foundation.
